A portion of World Championships 2017 Events are sold out

Ticket sales for the Worlds 2017 competition have exceeded expectations. Over 46 000 tickets have been sold for the event, which begins in late March, already reaching 70% of the sales objective at the moment. Tickets for the Men’s and Ladies’ free program events are sold out and there are only a finite number of tickets left for the ice dance free program event.

” We are very satisfied with the situation. Even though some events are already sold out, it is still possible to attend them by purchasing a VIP package. For the short program events, there are still tickets available”, says Henri Nordenswan, Secretary General of the organizing committee.

In honor of Finland’s centenary celebration, tickets can be purchased starting from the economical price of 20,17 euros. The Worlds event includes eight competition events and the opening and closing ceremonies. The opening ceremony on Wednesday the 29.03. will be a spectacle including nearly 200 skaters, ballet dancers of the Finnish National Opera and the Finnish singer icon Diandra.

“ The closing ceremony, which concludes the competition week on Sunday offers families a captivating moment with the medalists of the Worlds. The closing ceremony is special, because skaters can throw caution to the wind and perform elements that are not allowed in competition events” Nordenswan continues.
