Media and Communication

The Worlds are of interest to both international and national media. Approximately 400 media representatives are expected to arrive at the Championships. The media representatives will go through the accreditation process at the same place where everyone else, i.e. at the accreditation center located on the left side of the main entrance to Hartwall Arena. The media entrance will be the Niemi Center entrance located directly on the opposite side of the ice stadium. The media center will be set up on the 2nd floor of the Niemi Center i.e. on the 3rd level of Hartwall Arena.

Only accredited photographers, TV and media representatives will have the right to use the reserved workspaces as well as the spaces reserved for photographing at the stands. The media center opens on competition days at 7 AM and stays open in the evenings two hours after each competition has ended. On Monday the 27th of March and on Tuesday the 28th of March, the media center is open from x to x.

All press conferences during the event will be held in the media center.

Spectators may take photographs for private use remaining in their seats, but this activity must not disturb other spectators. It is prohibited to use flash, tripods and long and large telephoto zoom lenses at the stands. It is also forbidden to shoot video footage of the skaters’ programs during competition.

A shuttle bus service will be offered to those media representatives staying at the official media hotels. The shuttle buses will run from the official media hotels to the venue and back. The link to the shuttle bus timetable will be added later.
